What are the payment options?

The retainer must be paid prior to work being conducted on your file. It may, in certain circumstances, be possible to pay a partial retainer for your lawyer to take some preliminary time sensitive steps where necessary. The following payment, be it a trial fee, a resolution fee, or a guilty plea fee, is due prior to that next step being taken. It is possible to set up a payment plan between the payment of the retainer and your next step if this will assist you with keeping on track to ensure payment of your legal fees. However, it is important to note that all fees are due prior to the completion of the particular service in issue, and almost always before the completion of the case.
